It continues to be an absolute privilege to be the Headteacher at Dawlish College – the staff and students are second to none and take all of life’s challenges in their stride. Despite current uncertainties as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, we continue to hold onto our core purpose in all that we do. Required from 1st September 2021 enthusiastic, committed and highly motivated people to join our SEN team to work under the guidance of teachers/Assistant SENCO/SENCO to undertake work/care/support programmes to enable access to learning for students. Work may be carried out in the classroom or may regularly take place outside the main teaching area.
3 permanent posts of Learning Coach (29.5 hours per week x 38 weeks per annum)
1 fixed term post (due to external funding) of 1:1 Learning Coach (29.5 hours per week x 38 weeks per annum)
Scale 2.3 to 3.6 £18,562 - £19,698 pro rata
£12,240 - £12,989 actual per annum

To work under guidance to enable access to learning by:
• attending to the welfare and personal care of pupils including those with special educational needs.
• delivering pre-determined learning/care/support programmes.
• implementing literacy/numeracy/social and emotional/communication programmes.
• assisting with the planning cycle.
