Dawlish Community College recently held a non-uniform day, raising money for MacMillan Cancer Support.
The idea was the brainchild of Scarlett Carnell in Year 9, who made to suggestion to senior staff and then spoke to all the students in her year during assembly time to promote the work of MacMillan Cancer Support.
She was thrilled that the college raised £543 which has been sent to the charity. Head of School, Mrs Rachel Wickham, who said “I am so pleased that we were able to support Scarlett in her desire to give something back to the charity that means so much to her and her family. It proves that together we can achieve more than we thought possible.”
Well done to Scarlett for all her efforts and to everyone for their contribution.
