Lantern Parade Success!

The Lantern Parade organised by TAAG (Teignmouth Arts Action Group) Community Arts Project involving lots of schools and local charities, which was held on Saturday 25th November.

The school was invited by TAAG to take part in the lantern parade, an annual event to celebrate the start of the Christmas season for the local traders and to officially turn on the Christmas  lights throughout the town. The evening was a real success. Our students had put in a lot of effort and time into creating their fabulous lanterns inspired by Titan the Robot (who later made an appearance at the event) by attending an after school club on a Thursday. The overall scene on the evening was magical, the sky was lit up by an array of colourful lanterns and accompanied by local choirs singing Christmas carols. The highlight of the evening was Luke Friend (X-Factor runner up-Teignmouth lad) singing some of his new songs and Titan the Robot. Well done and thank you to our students who were a real credit to the school, the lanterns will be on display during the Expressive Arts Christmas concert on the 6th December.
