Last week Dawlish Community College hosted a bridge building morning with Year 6 students from local schools. We were pleased to welcome students from Gatehouse, Kenn, Kenton and Westcliffe Schools as well as Cockwood School (pictured below) who won the event, closely followed by Exminster School.
The activity was for the primary schools visiting for the morning to build a spaghetti tower using only spaghetti and hot glue guns and straws. The winner was the one which carried the most weight
Run by Dawlish Rotary Club as part of a project to promote links between primary and secondary schools, this was a fantastic morning, and one we hope to repeat regularly.
