Dawlish College was thrilled to celebrate success this week at two awards evenings.
On Tuesday, students, parents and staff joined together to celebrate individual success, effort and achievement. Subject prizes were nominated by staff and students received personalised certificates and citations outlining the reasons for their nominations and success. Staff were also able to recognise personal qualities and awarded further prizes.
We were delighted to welcome business partners, friends and members of the local community who sponsored a number of prizes, including The Helen Foundation, Mrs Drake, Councillor Alan Connett, Mrs Kath Whaling and the Cridge family.
On Wednesday, we welcomed our Year 11 students and their parents to our Leavers’ assembly, where we were able to recognise their successes and achievements. The hall was packed as certificates and prizes were awarded by departments for outstanding effort and achievement. There were also a few that recognised personal qualities and a film of Year 7 photographs caused much laughter and nostalgia! The evening had a real sense of fun as well as recognising the huge achievement of our young people over their time at the College.
